MAY 23, 2022 – I AM GOD’S DIVINE NATURE
“According to His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
- II Peter 1:3-4
Hello, everyone! It’s the last Monday of May, which means we’re about to start a new and exciting month. We’d like you to start the last week of the month with good and inspiring thoughts, and new learnings from today’s episode of 2 Empower U.
Today, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will help you understand your roles as a “partaker” of God’s divine nature. What does it mean to be a partaker? Of what value is this to you? How can being a partaker of God’s divine nature help you grow and mature in God’s eyes? What is the divine nature of God? These are just some of the questions that you will (finally) find answers to after listening to Pastor Thomas shares his insights and personal experiences with you.
Partaker and the Nature of God
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will talk to you about what it means to be a partaker, or a companion, partner, or sharer. The nature of God is another truth that the pastor would like you to understand and embrace. God’s nature is equivalent to divinity or divine nature. As a true believer of God, it is your right and responsibility to partake of or share this divinity with others. After all, God gave you His divine nature freely the moment that you took Him and made Him a part of your life.
Pastor Thomas will also talk to you about how you – or each one of us His children – possess natural characteristics, including the nature of God. Because you – all of us – are made in His likeness. You and I are created in His image.
Lastly, the good pastor will also share his insights on God’s give of abundant life and how using this gift – the unity of our spirit, soul, and body – to accept and follow God’s will. To make good things happen to your – our – life.
“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”
- Romans 8: 5-6
