This is what Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will discuss with you today. He will help you understand what it means to and how you can be spiritually mature. HOW TO HEAR GOD’S WORD – APRIL 25, 2022
“Faith comes from hearing the Word of God.”
- Romans 10:17
Hello, ladies and gentlemen! It’s Monday once again, which means it’s time for 2 Empower U. On today’s episode, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will talk to you about the Word of God. What makes God’s Word special? What is God’s Word? How can you hear God’s Word? These three questions are probably running through your mind right now, which is why the good pastor has decided to make it the focus of today’s show.
You often hear your pastor and many other people using the phrase “the Word of God”. You know what it means, but you have yet to understand what it really means. Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will help you change that today.
How to Hear God
Hearing the Word of God is one of the major responsibilities of a Christian. But, how do you do this? How will you know what God’s Word is? Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will share with you his insights on this. He will help you learn how to listen so that you can hear God’s Word. You don’t need to have someone tell you, “Hey, it’s God’s Word! You need to listen now!” You will know it when you hear it, because God delivers His messages personally to each one of us.
Pastor Thomas will also give you some examples on how you can hear God. All that you need is the Bible, your Church, and other essential items and important figures in your life.
Once you can hear, you’ll probably find another challenge: remembering what you hear.
“We forget 95% of what we hear after 72 hours.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Pastor Thomas will help you improve your hearing, so you won’t only hear more, you will also hear and remember what you heard better.
“Do not merely listen to the Word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
- James 1:22

WHY SHOULD I TITHE? – APRIL 18, 2022
“A tenth of all you produce is the Lord’s, and it is holy!”
- Leviticus 27:30
Good day, everyone! Welcome to another Monday with Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach and 2 Empower U. Today, the pastor will talk to you about tithing. A tithe has many meanings, the most common one being, “one tenth of your annual earnings, formerly taken as a tax for the support of the Church and the clergy.” In the Bible, a tithe is defined as, “a portion of your income given as an offering to your local Church.” In Hebrew, tithe means “tenth”. All of its meanings, however, point to one thing – tithing is a Christian practice; a biblical Christian practice that you offer to God and the Church. Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will help you understand the concept of tithing better. He will also discuss with you its importance.
Reasons Lifted from God’s Word
“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops.”
- Proverbs 3:9
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will share his insights and experiences on tithing, particularly the reasons why everyone who lives with, believes, and follows the Lord should practice it. Aside from the numerous times it was cited in the Bible, tithes are also mentioned – though often not directly – in the words of God. The pastor will give you all ten reasons that God has provided to those who want to understand the value of tithing.
He commands it.
He commended it.
It demonstrates that God should always be FIRST in your life.
It is a reminder that everything you have is from God.
It is an expression of gratitude.
It will help you grow in faith.
Refusing to tithe is akin to stealing from God.
It is proof that God exists.
It is God’s way of helping you protect what you have.
It is a testament of your love for God.
The pastor will also give you tips on how you can faithfully remind yourself to tithe.
“Bring your whole tithe to My storehouse. Test me in this, says the Lord, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you won't have room enough for it! I will prevent pests from devouring your crops and the vines in you fields will be protected from plagues.”

GIVING WITH THE RIGHT ATTITUDE – APRIL 11, 2022
“And this they did and not as we hoped but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.”
- II Cor. 8:5
Hello, everyone. It’s Monday once again, so we’re here to dish out another episode of 2 Empower U. Today, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will talk about one topic but two different things: giving and the right attitude. Our episode today is called Giving with the Right Attitude. The focus will be on the act of giving and the different attitudes that make it special and fulfilling.
What does it mean to truly give? How will you know if a person gives wholeheartedly? What does the willingness to give mean? These are some of the questions that Pastor Thomas will try to answer and help you understand.
The Right Attitudes
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will share with you the four different attitudes essential in building a life of giving:
Giving willfully
Giving joyfully
Giving generously
Giving expectantly
Pastor Thomas will share with you what the key of giving is, and what it means to give yourselves to the Lord. Why is it the ultimate key to giving?
Lastly, the good pastor will share with you a special commitment prayer that you can use in your journey to giving and committing yourself to God.

GIVING REVEALS MY SPIRITUAL MATURITY – APRIL 04, 2022
“On the first day of each week, set aside some of what you have earned and give it as an offering. The amount depends on how much the Lord has helped you earn.”
- 1 Cor. 16:2
Hello, everyone! It’s the first week of April and we hope that things are looking good for you. On today’s 2 Empower U, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will talk about the value of giving. What is the real meaning of giving? What does it mean to really give, to share what you have? And how can giving reveal your spiritual maturity? These are the things that the pastor will help you find answers to today.
“Just as you excel in everything else….in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness….see that you also excel in the grace of giving.”
- 2 Cor 8:7
Reasons God Wants You to Give
Giving without expecting anything in return will bring you tons of benefits. Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will share with you his insights on how truthful, heartfelt giving can impact your life and reveal your spiritual maturity. He will do this by helping you understand why God wants you – wants each one of us – to embrace and practice giving.
Pastor Thomas will tell you why or how giving:
Can make you more like God
Can bring your closer to God
Can become the antidote to materialism
Can strengthen your faith
Can be your investment to achieving eternity
Can bless you
Can make you happy
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will also talk to you about tithing – and how a tithe is different from an offering.
One of the inspiring takeaways for today’s episode is something that we all know but sometimes forget. So, the pastor wants you to always remember that:
“There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.”
- Acts 20:35

LEVELS OF IMPACT – MARCH 28, 2022
“Impact – all success is based on this one word.”
Hello, everyone! It’s the last Monday of March and we’re ready for another special episode of 2 Empower U. On today’s show, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will be talking about “having a strong effect on someone or something,” which is more commonly known as impact. He will share with you his insights and experiences regarding the value of living a life with impact.
Four Things to Remember to Create Impact
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will give you four things that are essential in creating the right impact – on others, yourself, and on God. These are:
Preparation or the action that makes something ready for use
Understanding your gift: Feed your gift and allow it to grow if you want to create a life that has impact
Vision: “And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, master, who did sin, this man or his parents that he was born blind? Jesus answered, ‘Neither has this man sinned, nor his parents; but that the works of God should be made manifest in Him….As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.’”
Behavior – and how it is related to your vision; how your vision can impact your behavior and vice versa.
“People aren’t changing their behaviors, but it’s not because they haven’t gotten the information that these are big risks. We tend to sort of love for now and into the limited future – not the long term.”
- Cindy Jardine, University of Alberta
“We must have the right mindset to make an impact.”

WHY YOU NEED A COACH – MARCH 21, 2022
“Coaching aims to improve the performance and goals of other people. It not only focuses on the present but also helps you to look into the future.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Hello, everyone. Today is the 21st of March and on 2 Empower U, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will be talking to you about coaching. Why is it important for you to have a coach? What characteristics should a coach have? What’s a coaching relationship like? Who’s the best coach anyone could ever have? These are some of the important questions that the pastor will help you find answers to.
Teaching or Coaching?
One of the things that Pastor Thomas will talk to you about is the difference between teaching and helping someone learn. Once you have taught someone how to do something, have you fulfilled your responsibilities? Have you reached your goal? The pastor will help you understand why you shouldn’t stop there if your goal is to be a good and efficient coach. Your goals should be to achieve awareness and learning, improvement, and giving a glimpse of what’s waiting for you.
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will also share with you his insights on why Jesus is the best coach. Why He is the expert at teaching and helping people learn, and how He does this by focusing on your ministry skills. Jesus is the expert teacher and coach.
Coaching Relationship
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will also talk to you about what you can expect from a good, effective, and efficient coach. Their most important characteristics will help you determine their coaching style and effectiveness. The pastor will share his insights on what makes a coach a:
Visionary
Strategist
Partner
Trainer
Resource
Listener
Motivator
Supporter
Advisor
Guide
Helper
Assertive
Accountable
Asking questions is important for a coach. This is what Jesus does: He helps you improve your ministry skills by asking questions. Talk and listen to Him.

I Am Not Moved By What I See
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
- 2 Corinthians 4:18
Good day, everyone! Welcome to today’s 2 Empower U with your friend and host, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach. On today’s episode, the pastor will help you understand why the things that are not seen are more important than those that you do not see. What does it mean when “things are temporal”? And why are things not seen eternal?
What You See
If you’ve ever heard the quote, “What is essential is invisible to the eye,” then it will be easy for you to understand what Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will talk about today. What the pastor will tell you is what the Word of God wants you to know: what you see is only temporary and you shouldn’t let it control you or your life. Sometimes, what the naked eye sees may not be real….even facts can sometimes be crooked.
“Facts can and will change, but the truth never changes; no matter what.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
And the pastor will let you know that the only truth that matters is the Word of God – the truth that you may not see, but which you can absolutely feel.
“Truth always overcomes, overrides, and changes the facts. Speak the Word of God with confidence.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
