Get In Position - 68

GET IN POSITION – AUGUST 16, 2021
 
“A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.” – John 16:21
Good Monday to everyone! On today’s episode of 2 Empower U, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will talk to you about giving birth and how the experience can be likened to giving birth to a vision. The pastor will take you through the exciting and unpredictable journey of a woman in labor and compare it with what intercessors experience. His goal is to make you understand the importance of spiritual renewal.
 
Four Stages
 
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will take you through the four major stages of the birthing process: power, passenger, passage, and position. He wants you to realize that each stage is essential; if one or the other does not work out well, problems can happen. 
 
The pastor likens this experience to God’s vision for His church – and for you. When God sets something for His church or for you, when He wants His vision or purpose to be realized, there will be obstructions along the way – just like what can happen to a woman giving birth. Your spirituality may be tested by the devil, who feels he is powerful. But, if your heart is in God and your motivation is God’s vision for you and the Church, you will survive. God is the most powerful of all. Power is His. Power belongs to Him.

Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also wants you to keep in mind that waiting is important because God is doing something for you. He is expanding, enlarging your territory. If you learn to wait; joy, strength, and victory will be yours.
 
The pastor also encourages you to value unity, because this will help you fight your fears. Fear can delay your vision and victory, so you have to learn to let it go if you want God’s plans to work for you. Let your fears pass you by.
 
Finally, Pastor Thomas wants you to understand why it is important to be in the right time and the right place when working to bring God’s purposes for you to fruition. Do not move to deception or unbelief. Stay with God. 
 
Get in position and help bring God’s visions and purposes to fulfillment.

The pastor will share his insights on the importance of learning how to wait, of being patient, and of believing that God will give what you need in His time.
 
What the Word WAIT Means
 
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will share with you a secret: the word WAIT is actually an acronym – and these acronyms are messages from God. The pastor will explain to you each word and meaning, so you’ll better understand why waiting is an important virtue.
 
As per the pastor, WAIT means God is willing, able, has integrity, and always ready to teach you something good. 
 
In His Time
 
You often hear the phrase, “In His time,” but do you know what it means? Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will let you know what it means by encouraging you that God is working on something, so you just wait. And trust Him. Trust that He will give you what you need in His time.

DESTROYING THE SNARE OF LEGALISM – AUGUST 02, 2021
 
“How do we live a life that is pleasing to God?”
 
Hello, everyone! It’s the first Monday of August and it’s time for 2 Empower U. Our first show for this month features Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach sharing his thoughts and experiences about living a life that’s pleasing to God. He will be talking about the difference between adhering to the law and keeping the law of God.
 
Consider this statement:
“I can keep the law and that will make me pleasing to God.”
 
Do you think there is truth in this? Do you agree with this statement?
 
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will explain to you and provide examples about why the statement above is wrong. He will help you understand why you cannot claim to be Godly just because you said you promise to be good. 
 
What Happens When You Sin?
 
The pastor will give you an idea of what happens when you commit a sin. He will also explain to you the two crucial aspects that are present when you sin: sinful passions and the law. 
 
For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?”

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Today is the last Monday of July and our episode on 2 Empower U is guaranteed to be interesting – something that you can all relate with. 
 
“I Didn’t Ask For This.” This is what Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will be discussing with you today. He’ll tell you a little bit about the story of Job, who was considered as the “greatest man among all the people of the East.” He’ll also tell you that something happened, something that Job “didn’t ask for”, and this caused certain things to change. 
 
God is Real
 
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach knows that there are times when you feel alone, that God is not there with you. He wants you to know that this is far from the truth because God is real – and He is always with you. He may become silent or far away sometimes, but these are just to remind you that He is there, you need Him, and He never forgets you.

God Will Never Mess With You, He Will Never Leave You

Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach assures you that even if you feel that all the odds are against you, God has no intention of messing with you. It is not His intention to leave you alone in the middle of a battle, but He trusts you and He knows you. He knows what you are capable of, He only has to find ways to get that “capable” person out of his or her shell.

GOD IS MY SOURCE

What kind of supply? What kind of source? You’ll find out when you start listening to the pastor share his stories and insights. Pastor Thomas is also going to encourage you to trust God. You’ll also find out the difference between a source and a resource.
 
Source vs. Resource
 
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will help you understand that God is the Source – whom everything is coming from. On the other hand, the resource refers to an action or strategy that someone does. Therefore, the focus should always be on the Source, not the resource. 
 
The pastor would like you to remember that God is looking out for you. He sees, understands, and knows. God is on your side.
 
As long as you are focused on God, you have everything you need….Because God is your Source.
 
Everything begins with GOD. Seek God.

Trust
