How to Walk in God’s Power
It is the 28th of December, only a few days away into the New Year. Today on 2 Empower U, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will share with you what it means to “walk in God’s power”. What does having a zeal for the things of God mean? How can you feed on the Word of God? How will you stay in communion and fellowship with Christians like you? These are all the things that the Pastor will talk about today. What you will learn can help bring you closer to God and His almighty powers.
“Having a renewed mind is key in anything that you want to do in life. If you want to do things God’s way.” - Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
A Spiritual Hunger for God
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
- Matthew 5:6
The kind of spiritual hunger that Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will talk about today is the one that shows you desire for God. How eager are you to live a life filled with His presence? Are you ready to have God in your life – in all ways, on all days, and always?
The Pastor will help you realize how important it is to keep your spiritual hunger for God high – because this is what you need to keep Him significant in Your life.
Develop your spiritual hunger for God every day. Say this always: “Lord, I just want you.” Go after the Lord.
How to Feed on the Word of God
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach shares with you three things that you can do to better understand and be filled with the Word of God. He will share with you his insights on how reading the Bible, studying and analyzing the Bible passage, and meditating on what your learned from the scriptures are essential for understanding, accepting, and feeding on the Word of God.
“You can trust God in every situation. You can believe in God. But you have to feed on His word.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Communicate with God
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach encourages you to be open to God. Share with Him whatever is in your heart. When you talk to Him, God will speak with you and He will shower you with His wisdom. God is in a relationship with you, so you should always communicate with Him.
The Pastor also wants to encourage you to listen to what God will tell you. Spend time with Him every day.
Fellowship is Important
The Pastor also wants you to know how important it is to be in fellowship with your fellow Christians; with like-minded believers. Being around like-minded people will result to a lot of good things. It helps you walk in God’s power.
“Don’t become partners with those who reject God. That’s not a partnership, that’s war.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will remind you about how vital it is to choose the people you’re going to be moving around with, as well as the friends you connect with. Don’t hang around with negative people because this will not bring you to the right direction.
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupts good manners.”
- 1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV)
Who and Where is God in You?
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will ask you: “Is God really the lover of your soul?” Your answer to this will determine who and where God is in you. If you truly love the Lord, you won’t be able to stop talking about Him.
Confess to your friends and family that you are “the righteousness of God”. Confessing this openly means you are proudly identifying yourself with God.
Praying in the Spirit
“But, ye, beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”
- Jude 1:20
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach wants you to know that prayers work, even in the most difficult situations. The Pastor wants to encourage you to always pray, especially in the Holy Ghost.
Get into Action
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach wants you to understand that nothing good will happen if you do not put your plans into action, or if you do not “practice what you preach”. Don’t be contented with just keeping to yourself what you learned and discovered; set everything into action.

Financial Pressure
Today is December 21 and Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach is here again on 2 Empower U. He will be sharing with us his experiences and insights on money, debt, and everything related to finances and financial pressure. The Pastor also tells us how God can guide and help us get past our debts. God is always in control, and He wants us to also be control – because He’s always listening and He strengthens us even in our most challenging times.
Don’t Let Money Control You
“Financial pressure is all about living above your means. We need to slow down and realize that there are things we have to do to release the pressure in our lives.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach encourages you to learn how to control money. He also assures you that God loves you regardless of how much or how little money you have. His love does not rely on your riches. The Pastor also wants you to keep in mind and understand these:
Don’t create unnecessary pressure for yourself.
Don’t let your money control you.
You cannot do anything without love.
God is a God of principles, a guideline, and instructions.
“I control money, it doesn’t control me…”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
“Whether I have $10 or not, I know God loves me….”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
“God has a way for you.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Patience is a Virtue
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also reminds you of the value of patience. You don’t have to buy that pair of shoes just because your friend has it. You don’t have to buy some stuff you don’t need because it’s sale day. That is what immaturity is all about and you need to be patient to avoid that.
Be patient especially when you are going through rough times. Don’t rush things; just take it one day at a time. Allow your patience to work its wonders until you pay off all your debts.
Being Patient Means Being in Control – Cast Your Worries on God
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach encourages you to shut down the pressure with peace. Relax. Calm down. Let peace rule over you. The peace of God.
“God said, I wanna give to you peace.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
The Pastor believes that when you know how to practice patience and you have faith in God, you can easily control yourself – your money and your situation. Then you’ll have peace. God is always there for you – all you need to do is cast your worries on Him.
“Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. Roll your care on the Lord.”
- 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say,
on the Lord.”
- Psalm 27:14 (KJV)
Press in to the Wisdom of God
Finally, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach wants to encourage you to stop doubting and pressuring yourself. Hold on to God. Press in to His wisdom because He can help you get out of debt. All you need to do is accept God’s wisdom.
Tell yourself, “I receive God’s wisdom to get out of debt….”

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
Today’s 2 Empower U is all about listening and hearing the Lord. Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach helps us understand the power of the Lord’s words through the story of Peter, the disciple who denied Him three times. Pastor Thomas also wants to encourage us to be interested in everything that the Lord says; to listen to and hear the Lord.
Not Hearing the Lord
But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you are saying!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, "Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." So, Peter went out and wept bitterly.
- Luke 22:60-62
Peter refused to hear what the Lord said. He didn’t listen to the Lord. So, he was caught off guard when what the Lord prophesied finally happened.
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach talks about how the disciples chose to focus on their personal issues – like who’s the greatest – instead of listening to what the Lord was trying to tell them. He wanted to share important information to them; information that would have helped them understand what was about to happen. This all took place during the Last Supper.
The disciples were concerned with the wrong things.
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Pastor Thomas explains to us why we often say things halfheartedly. Sometimes, we do not really feel what we say. We just say them because we have to say something. There are also times when we forget to humble ourselves and we shut off the Lord. We think only of ourselves. This is why the Lord always asks, “Can you hear me?”
It is important to always “listen to what the Lord is saying”. If you do this, the enemy – Satan - won’t be able to agitate you.
“Open up your heart and listen – to your parents, your spouse, your best friend. And things will be better for you.”
God’s power will lift you from the pit you are in; He will protect you from the enemy. So, can you hear what God is saying to you now?

THIS, TOO, SHALL PASS
In today’s 2 Empower U, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach focuses on the meaning of the popular quote, “This, too, shall pass”. It is about the storms that come to our lives; storms that often leave some of us thinking of giving up. Pastor Thomas encourages us to go on because “this, too, shall pass”. We should look at these storms as challenges from Jesus, from the Lord. He leads us into storms for several purposes.
“Jesus, You are welcome to speak to me, to challenge me, and to overturn my ideas and direction.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Step Up!
Pastor Thomas reveals that we need to welcome the instances when God talks to us and challenges us to consider our ideas and the path we are taking. Jesus is the Lord of all, and He has a purpose for everything that He does. Whenever He sends challenges, He does not do it to hurt us or to make us fail; these challenges are for us to become better versions of ourselves – the version that believes in Him and in our ability to survive and succeed.
Trust in the Lord
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also reminds us that faith is anchored in God. It does not depend on how convenient your life is or how many of your wishes God helped fulfill. Trusting God is putting your faith in Him regardless of your situation. Even if you face problems and trials every day, you still trust Him. You continue to believe Him.
“Be encouraged because even though things are being exposed, it’s to help us and not hurt us.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Storms
“Storms reveal our distorted view of the problem.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Whatever you are going through, you might not be seeing it properly because your view is obstructed or distorted – maybe because you are desperate or you forgot to acknowledge that the Lord is right there beside you, waiting for you to call on to Him. The Lord cares about you even if you do not feel His presence.
The Lord always cares for you, because He loves you.
“When excessive fear sets in, the Lord will come to you.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
God always stands ready to deliver His promise to you, just don’t allow your problems and fears to overpower you. Because this will cause you to lose faith in God. Deal with your fears and trust in God.
Pastor Thomas wants you to remember that GOD CARES.
“Storms reveal our distorted view of the Lord Jesus.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
When the Lord talks to you in the middle of a storm, he gives you assurance: “It is I; be not afraid.”
Again, the Lord leads us into the storm because He wants us to be better. Do not allow your “enemies” (i.e. your fears, your insecurities) to get the best of you. Reach out to the Lord and He will raise you up from your challenges.
Storms are a part of life. But know that “this, too, shall pass”. Whatever you are going through is temporary, especially if your faith in God is strong. He has wonderful plans for you.

Use What You Got
“Your life is in the hands of God, but it’s also in your faith that you release for the things that God wants you to have.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."
- Romans 12:3
Today is November 30 and here on 2 Empower U, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will be talking about “what you got” and how you can use it for your good. The Pastor will be talking about faith. Your faith, and faith that comes from the Word of God. He’s going to tell you what sense knowledge and faith knowledge are.
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also wants you to know that “Every born again believer has a measure of faith. And what you do with your measure determines the quality of life that you will live.”
“Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
- Hebrew 11:1
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach wants you to know that faith is about believing something that you have no natural proof for. He will also talk to you about fear and how it operates; how it can make you forget about faith.
But then, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will assure you that your faith is bigger and stronger than your fear. Your faith will protect you from the enemy who wants you to fail.
But you have to work hard to develop and nurture your faith. You have to open up your heart and your mind.
“Faith demands that God be your source and your only source.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
If you allow your fear to eat you up:
“You will either have faith or fear, and most people operate in fear.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach assures you that you have a dynamic God on the inside of you. But you have to learn how to fight. You have to learn to use what you got. The faith of God is inside of you. Use it well so that it will grow and bless you immensely.

Thanksgiving
Eucharistia –
gratitude
Towdah –
to express visible thanks or adoration to God
by extending the hands to God in reverence
How have you been celebrating thanksgiving these past years? Do you know the real meaning of our thanksgiving celebrations? Today on 2 Empower U, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will talk about thanksgiving. He will enlighten you with some discoveries and insights about one of the most celebrated days of the year in America. This episode is also intended to help you understand why thanksgiving is important.
The Meaning of Thanksgiving in America
Here in the United States, thanksgiving is a time to get together with the family; to feast on good food. Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will also discuss with you the other meanings of thanksgiving to the Americans – football games, Black Friday sales, the start of the Christmas holidays, endless shopping.
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach wants you to know that all these activities do not offer you the real meaning of the celebration. Thanksgiving is so much more than the commercial festivities that you and I have gotten used to.
How Thanksgiving Started
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will share with you the story of thanksgiving – how it started back in 1621 as a celebration observed by the pilgrims. The day of feasting – as it was known back then – has been around for over 3,500 years and Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will explain to you that it did not originate in the United States.
“If they offer it as an expression of thankfulness, then along with this thank offering, they are to offer thick loaves made without yeast and with olive oil mixed in, thin loaves made without yeast and brushed with oil, and thick loaves of the finest flour well-kneaded and with oil mixed in. Along with their fellowship offering of thanksgiving, they are to present an offering with thick loaves of bread made with yeast.”
- Leviticus 7:12-13
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also encourages you to read Leviticus chapter 7 if you want to understand the meaning of thanksgiving.
“Thanksgiving is expressions of gratitude, gratefulness, and thanks to our Lord….When you lift your hands to God and say, ‘I love You, Lord,’ ‘I worship You,Lord,” “Praise You, Jesus,” you are offering thanksgiving to God.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
“I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works.”
- Psalm 9:1
“Things happen when you thank God. Thanksgiving is worship and praise. Thanksgiving activates the power of God.”
- Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Count your blessings. Count them one by one, and you’ll realize how much God has blessed you with.
Finally, the Pastor wants you to know that every time you raise your hands in thanksgiving to God, you bring Him closer to you. His power is upon you. His hand is protecting you – every area of your being and your life.
