Choices
Today’s 2 Empower U with Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach focuses on something we do not talk about that often – choices. The Pastor will not just talk about what choices mean or how to make the right ones; rather, he’ll tell you how your choices can change your life. He’ll tell you about how God helps you come up with the right decisions, and that you have to do your part, too.
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also wants you to know that “you always have a choice”. Choosing the right one is up to you.
The Pastor also talks about freewill and how it is related to choices.
God Will Not Choose for You
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach wants you to realize that you are the one who needs to make a choice. God does not do the choosing for you. He uses the story of Cain to illustrate this.
The Pastor also tells you that when you pray and ask for help in making a choice, God listens but He doesn’t make the choice for you. You are the one who decides what you should do when caught in a particular situation.
“Keep your eyes on God. His way is the best way.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
God Asks Questions, You Do Your Part
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach wants you to realize that God asks questions because He wants you to think, feel, and see things the way He does. The Pastor uses Cain (again) to illustrate the importance of choosing from the options provided to you and how making a good choice can help you become a better person.
Don’t Let Anyone In Without Your Permission
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach tells you that becoming a slave or destroying your life is your choice. And it is also your choice to open the door to anyone who wants to enter your life and ruin it. When you submit yourself to outside influence, you become a slave – and you lose the freedom of personal choice.
“We become slaves to whatever we submit our will to.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Finally, Pastor Thomas De Loach advises you to submit to God’s will if you want to make the right choices.

Stop Wasting Time
April Mae Monterrosa once said, “When it comes to love & loss, acceptance is never easy. We can’t make someone see all we have to give, make them love us, or make them change. All we can do is move on and stop wasting time.”
In today’s 2 Empower U episode, the theme is “Stop Wasting Time”. Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach talks about the value of time. DeLoach also shares tips on how you can control and use your time wisely so you can turn your life to the best that it can be.
A Sense of Timing

This also means you know the value of buying back wasted time – or the time that you used by doing the wrong things with the wrong people.
“God will empower you to do the things that only please Him.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Recalibrate your heart and start doing meaningful things.
A Few Things About Time

Your Crisis Will Birth New Opportunities
Today’s 2 Empower U episode has Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach talking about crisis – what it means, why it happens, and how to handle it. The Pastor also shares a story about Jesus and how he handled a certain crisis that happened to Him.
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also talks about how you can turn a crisis into beautiful opportunities.
How Jesus Responds to Crisis
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach cites Matthew 14:13 in telling the story of how Jesus responded to a crisis in His life – the death of His cousin John the Baptist. The Pastor shares that Jesus isolated Himself and waited upon the Lord in prayer. Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach then reveals how Jesus turned this crisis into a blessing – especially for the 5000 people who were waiting for Him.
“When a crisis happens in your life, isolate yourself with God.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
When faced with a crisis, don’t panic and don’t go around running and asking for help. Let God help you.
Keep Your Priorities Straight
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also talks about Matthew 14:14 and how Jesus didn’t allow a crisis to stop Him from ministering people. He asks you to look at Jesus as an example in handling crisis. You must never stop what you were doing before the crisis happened. Be like Jesus and keep moving.
“God called us to serve; crisis is not an excuse to stop serving.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach also explains why it’s not right to stop going to church or serving the ministry when a crisis happens to you.
Be a Part of the Solution, Not the Problem
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach goes on to share Matthew 14:15-16, which tells the story of how Jesus turned a problem (the crisis) into a part of the solution. The Pastor wants you to understand that even if there seemed to be no way out of the crisis; Jesus didn’t stop working out a solution.
“God expects you to be a part of the solution. Not the problem.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Contribute With What You Have
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach further shares Jesus’ story through Matthew 14:17-18, which is where you’ll find out how Jesus gave everything (the solution to the problem) to the people even if it was all He had or all the disciples found. The Pastor wants you to know that you can do this, too – and that you should have faith that God will take care of what you unselfishly gave.
“God can do more with less.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Whatever you wholeheartedly give, Jesus will multiply.
Give Thanks to God
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach helps you understand the value of prayer, especially in the time of a crisis. But the Pastor stresses the difference of “just praying” and “praying intelligently”. He tells you how important it is for you to not only ask God for a solution to your problem, but to also give thanks to Him.
“Understand the power of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is something that happens every day of your life.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Don’t React in Flesh
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach asks you not to blame others – not to blame God – for the crisis that’s happening in your life. The Pastor wants you to stop embracing the negative mentality and allowing the flesh to fuel your reaction. The best way to react to crisis, according to Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach, is to hang on to your faith in God.
“We must respond to every situation in faith.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
“God has something big in your crisis moment for you.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Your crisis will birth new opportunities.

The Strand that Keeps Marriages Together
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach is asking you to understand that man and woman were created for each other. This is why man marries woman, so that they can be together.
“God ordained marriage because it was not good for man to be alone.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Just like a thrice-twisted twine, man and woman intertwine with each other – and with the strand that will help keep them together – God.
A Covenant Marriage
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach helps you to realize the value of a covenant marriage. He wants you to keep in mind what a covenant is – it is a deep and strong commitment. It is an agreement that should be honored. It cannot be broken.
“A covenant is a binding agreement between two individuals.”

The Priority of Prayer
In this episode of 2 Empower U, Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach will help you discover the importance of prayer. He will help you understand why prayer should be a priority and not just a duty or an obligation.
Find Time
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach wants you to understand that no matter how busy you think you are, you can and should always find time to pray. He wants you to realize the value of prayer the same way that Jesus understood its importance.
“Jesus realized that prayer is ministry to His Father.”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Prayer is not a duty or obligation
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach helps you understand that prayer is not a duty or obligation. It is not something that you do because you have to; it’s something that you want to do. It is something that brings you joy. More than anything else, prayer is a union and experience with God.
“Some say it’s harder with God. God’s invisible. I can’t see Him and He doesn’t say much. But remember, we need an experience with God!”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
Prioritize Prayer
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach is telling you to prioritize prayer. It is what will keep you alive. He likens it to eating - if you don’t eat, your physical health and well-being will suffer. In the same manner, prayer should be prioritized because it feeds your spiritual life.
“Seven days without prayer makes one weak!”
Pastor Thomas A. DeLoach
If you prioritize prayer, your life will be richly blessed.
